Frond and Navel
The amazing thing about Jean Arp (also known as Hans Arp) is that he was part of three distinct movements: Dadism, Surrealism and Abstraction-Creation and while admiring some of his artwork I could not find a proper label to label his beautiful pieces such as his painting ‘Frond and Navel’. Is the painting abstract? Surreal? or a bit of both? regardless, it is striking!
